1965 Plymouth AWB - Melrose Missile - Cecil Yother (Supercar LE)

#50789WLC - Located One - 1965 Plymouth AWB Issue #4 is a 1:18 scale replica of Cecil Yother's Altered Wheelbase MELROSE MISSILE A/FX hardtop. Only six real hardtops were built by Chrysler, and five of them were then provided to Mopar A/FX racers, like Cecil.

This very detailed 1:18 car has the correct "blacked out grille" like the real car, accurate Torque Thrust 5 spoke mag wheels up front, with plain black wheels with slicks in the rear. This AWB car has the moved forward K-member, front and rear wheel well changes/moved, roll bar, chassis changed, plus an opening trunk, detailed with the small fuel tank, roll bar extensions, battery (with cables), and the parachute. Cecil said he "always" ran a parachute on this car, even when carburated.

Power comes from a 426 Cross Ram Hemi, fully wired and plumbed, backed by a TorqueFlite transmission, and an 8 3/4 rear end held with U-bolts, to the real metal leaf springs! This is the very 1st "MELROSE MISSILE" car made in 1:18 scale, and no more than 996 of these were produced for Supercar Collectibles as Issue # 4 in the Supercar Raceway series. It's also the "only carbureted car with parachute" in the first group of 5 cars we had made.
