#50786NWC - Located One - (Read All) - WOW, the rare original HARDTOP car! Sox & Martin Series car #13, is a 1:18 scale die cast replica of Sox & Martin's very 1st AWB Mopar and was one of their most famous. This is the Red/White/Blue altered wheelbase 1965 Plymouth A/FX hardtop carburated cross-ram car, the factory program built car. The below real car photo is how as we did the car, with a carburated cross ram Hemi, Torque Thrust mags in front, Keystones Klassics in back, and blue tinted windows - with the "fake" vent windows.
These 1:18 replica's have correct style hinges for the opening doors & opening trunk, the moved forward K-member, front & rear wheelwells moved, has real metal leaf springs, and the U-bolts are there too. It has real metal hood pins for the lift off hood (with scoop), and the rear license plate folds down to see the gas cap. Yes, they are that detailed!
Once the hood is off you can see the carburated 426 Cross Ram Hemi, fully wired, plus fuel lines, fuel filters, and coil/wire, all backed by a 4 speed, and Dana 60. It's also lettered "PAPER TIGER" on the rear body panel just like the real car. Below is a photo showing the white chassis, with the K-member in silver, plus the dual electric fuel pumps, fuel lines, chrome rear end cover, and a driveshaft that rotates.
We feel Die-Cast Promotions / Highway 61 (the manufacturer) has really outdone themselves on these cars, and this will come to be one of the really great 1:18 Mopar collectibles of all time. No more than 1,500 of these 1:18 scale die cast replica's were made, and they come in special Sox & Martin Issue #13 Red-White-Blue packaging.
