#SC18011 - Pre-Order - expected in the 4th quarter of 2026 (announced 9/2/26) in 1:18 scale is a 1967 Ford GT40 MK IV Chassis J9 in Wimbledon White. This GT40 will be produced by Shelby Collectibles and will be limited to only 300 pieces.

A legendary piece of Ford's GT40 history, this #9 GT40 MKIV was built on chassis J-9 with plans of being raced at the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans. Those plans changed when the rules for the 1968 race were announced. The European manufacturers complained so much to the race officials about how the GT40s were crushing them so badly in 1966 and 1967 that the officials announced new rules capping engine sizes at 5 litres for 1968, which essentially outlawed Ford's monster 427 engines. Ford said, NO PROBLEM! Ford decided to use their 4.9L Windsor V8 and completely dominated everyone in 1968 and 1969.

With this new rule, Ford sent J-9 over to Kar Kraft to re-body it into an open cockpit Group 7 Can Am racer. Kar Kraft would also install a special 3 valve, all alloy 427 engine. It was then sent to Ford's corporate wind tunnel and Dearborn test track where Mario Andretti would test J-9's limits. Mario would go on record saying that J-9 was one of the scariest cars he ever tested!

Do not miss out on this awesome GT40, from its authentic Wimbledon white paint with blue stripes and accents to the opening features to the fully detailed interior and 427 engine, this model will not disappoint.
