Super Stock Magazine partnered with Chrysler and the racing team of Pete Tritak and Bill Morgan in 1970 to document the process of building and racing a factory supplied original 1970 Hemi 'Cuda for the NHRA Super Stock D/Automatic (SS/DA) class, and featured a 28-month-long technical series and sweepstakes car in the magazine.

Super Stock Magazine partnered with Chrysler and the racing team of Pete Tritak and Bill Morgan in 1970 to document the process of building and racing a factory supplied 1970 Hemi 'Cuda for the NHRA Super Stock D/Automatic (SS/DA) class.

Pete Tritak and Bill Morgan were already established as successful Plymouth racers in Stock and Super Stock before this project. Their work on the SS&DI Cuda remains a legendary example of early "project car" journalism, blending factory support with privateer racing expertise. The car was highly successful in its inaugural year, with the team finishing 1st in the NHRA Northeast Division (Champions) and winning the All-Star Super Stock Circuit.
