#A1806032 - Pre-Order - expected in the 1st quarter of 2026 (announced 10/14/25) in 1:18 scale is the 1971 Dodge Challenger Pro Stock car in Black and Yellow called the Motown Missile as driven by Don Carlton. This Challenger will feature a lift off hood so you can see all the details of the plumbed and wired race prepped 426 Hemi. You can open up the doors to see the well detailed full race interior and the trunk opens too. Only 500 of this car will be made by ACME and we can’t wait!
The Motown Missile itself is a testament to Chrysler’s ambition. Built as a factory test bed by some of the best engineers, including the famous Tom Hoover, it was used to trial new concepts before passing them down to legendary racers like Sox & Martin. The car’s original purpose was clear, break new ground, and push what was technically possible.
One aspect of the Motown Missile that separated it from all other Pro Stock cars at the time was the connection it had with the Chrysler NASA Rocket Development Division (located in Huntsville, AL) that incorporated all kinds of aerospace technology, in the way of exotic testing equipment and DAQ (data acquisition) for when the car was traveling down the race track.
While it was a full-on racecar, it actually doubled as a test and development vehicle. In 1971 driver Don Carlton joined the team and drove the Motown Missile in the '71 Grand Nationals and set an all-time low elapsed time of 9.48 seconds and 146.10 mph.
At this time you can Pre-Order (reserve) this with reduced shipping of $9.95 to the US48 (only).
