1969 Mustang Boss 429, Black Jade

This car is being produced by ACME using the well detailed Highway 61 tooling. It will feature an opening hood so you can see the wired and plumbed 429, the doors open and the interior is well detailed plus the opening trunk holds the battery and the space saver spare tire.

This is a rare automobile, one of just 850 units produced for the model year, and one of 162 painted Black Jade, which is one of those fascinating color that plays tricks on the eye. Even though it’s called “Black”, this is more of a dark green metallic with a hint of black.

In the shade, the car looks nearly black, but under direct sunlight the metallic flakes shine through making the car look somewhat like a deep forest or mossy green. This is one of the rarest and most unique Mustang colors of the late 60s, which makes it perfect for something like the Boss 429.
