The Flying Fink Brothers attack the Super Stockers! The Fink brothers began drag racing in the mid sixties with a 1963 Plymouth, and then with a 1963 Dodge wagon running in the highly competitive Super Stock ranks. In 1968 they moved to a 1964 Plymouth convertible and finished sixth in the World Championship and sixth in NHRA's Division III Super Stock Circuit. In 1970 they built a 1967 RO23 Plymouth Belvedere to run SS/DA, and Tom Tignanelli provided the 426 Hemi power. With that car the Finks brothers won the Super Stock Nationals, as well as many regional meets.

Then came 1971, their best year ever, winning the Gatornationals, the Springnationals, and finishing first in the WCS points race. In fact they amassed more points than any other circuit car, and also set a new National record of 11.17

With their new race car, a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, the Fink brothers continued their winning ways. Prepared by Tom Tignanelli for SS/EA battle, the car won the 8th Annual Super Stock Nationals and made it all the way the semis finals at the Summernationals.
